The Coffee Mann
Story
We are very proud of our evergrowing coffee business. In such a short space of time we’ve expanded from a single vehicle, catering for outside events to supplying coffee machines, and seeing the opening of first coffee shop,
Conrods; in Ramsey. All of this has been made possible due to the hard work from everyone involved in our company and the valued support of our customers.

Vision
In 2013, I had a vision which would see a mobile barista service operate on the Isle of Man at outside events. I spent many hours researching and learning about the coffee industry and ultimately making a plan; for me it was really important to have the right vehicle and so I held out until I found the right one…

Piaggio Ape’ Barista Van
At the start of January 2015 I was racing at Phillip Island, Australia and was really taken by the huge coffee culture. This reignited the desire to kick my own business off. It was back to the Isle of Man for more homework. Two months down the road I had sourced the right vehicle, registered with all the relevant authorities and suppliers and we were on our way to our first event with the Piaggio Ape’ barista van.

Bean to cup coffee machines
Attending events and speaking to people in the industry I recognised a gap in the Isle of Man market and in 2016, we established a relationship with a market leader in the coffee machine industry. In doing so this has enabled us to cover retail, catering, food service, business to business.

Douglas Depot
2017 saw the opening of our Douglas Depot; allowing us to store all our consumables, offering the servicing of our machines and selling to a range of businesses.

Conrods Opened
In May 2018 we opened our first coffee shop, Conrods. Our shop is located in the heart of my home town of Ramsey. My vision was to create a quality ‘go to’ coffee shop in my local home town. We serve a full range of delicious coffee, and offer a great selection of local, homemade food.
